DF Proofing by e-mail
RDE begins PDF Proofing by E-mail from Janaury 1, 2002
RDE is changing the way proofs are sent out to authors. In an effort to facilitate
the way proofs are handled and in light of flourishing of envelopes contaminated
with anthrax and other hazardous chemicals, we would like to provide authors
with an electronic copy of their proofs rather than the traditional hard copy
sent through the postal system. This form has several advantages:
- Authors can receive their proofs several days earlier than those sent by
regular mail.
- Authors do not need to be in their offices to receive their proofs.
As long as they can access their e-mail accounts, they can also access their
proofs even when they are traveling.
- "Delivery" of proofs can be made at any time on any day. Once
the authors receive proofs, they will be asked to print off the PDF file,
then correct it as normal. Corrections should be sent back to the proof reader
as usual.
To receive the pdf files of the proof,
- you must have Adobe Reader. If not, install Adobe
Reader 5 now.
- The editorial office must have your current e-mail address. If you move,
it is important that you inform your new e-mail address to the editorial office.
Otherwise, publication of your paper will be delayed.
You can send corrections by fax, post or e-mail.
